2. Bài mẫu IELTS Writing Task 2 topic Environment

Explain some of the ways in which humans are damaging the environment. What can governments do to address these problems? What can individual people do?

The reality is that many environmental problems have been caused by humans, so we need to act responsibly to reduce the damage we are doing to the Earth. This essay will explain environmental problems and what governments and individuals can do to address them.

Among the threats to the environment, air pollution and waste are the two major problems and need to be paid the most attention. Global warming is known as a global problem because of its devastating environmental impact as a result of emissions from factories and exhaust fumes from vehicles. In addition, the increase in human population is accompanied by a huge amount of waste that pollutes the Earth, polluting the rivers and oceans.

To solve these problems, on the one hand, governments can reduce air pollution in several ways. First, they could introduce legislation to limit factory emissions or force companies to use renewable energy in their production. Second, they can also innovate the public transport system to be more convenient and greener. In this way, governments can encourage people to take public transport instead of driving, contributing to reducing emissions in the environment.

On the other hand, individuals also have a responsibility to reduce the level of pollution in their surroundings. They can take buses and subways or other public transport instead of driving, which can reduce emissions from vehicles. In addition, people should buy products that can be reused and recycled as much as possible to avoid generating too much waste. For example, Vietnamese are recommended to use paper or cloth bags when shopping instead of plastic bags to cut down on plastic bag consumption.

In conclusion, both national governments and individuals must understand their harmful effects on the environment and have a responsibility to reduce those damages.
